I am planning a trip to Denver because I was thinking about relocating there. I was wondering whats a better nightlife district for a young male in his mid 20's. Single girls always a plus

1) LoDo Lower down town or

2) SoCo South of Colfax

Also what would rent be in these areas for a studio apartment?

Thank you!

Definitely Lodo. I've never heard it call SoCo either but South Broadway is becoming a pretty happening but nothing like downtown. A studio in Lodo will probably run $1200 and up. If you're willing to live a mile or two toward Capitol Hill / Uptown, nice ones probably start around $900.

I was just riding my Harley around LoDo tonight and it really is a happening area. I just moved here from Philly and I just love downtown Denver. It's really one of the best downtown areas I've seen. It's not too busy and crowded. It has the big city feel without the congestion. It's modern looking, clean and plenty of the old stuff is well kept. You can drive without having other drivers try to run you over. There's good parking and there's plenty going on in downtown Denver. I can't imagine a single person living around there and not liking it. You can't go wrong with LoDo if you can afford that area. 16th Street mall seems awesome. I'm gonna have to get down there on foot sometime and really check it out.

Visit at 2am on a summer Saturday night, or if you want to have friends over spontaneously and there's a sporting event and nowhere to park, or you live next to Coors Field and can't make a phone call during game days (Know from visiting a friend's loft)

I definitely agree about being well kept, and great places if it fits your budget - but just throwing in a few negatives. Many (myself included) appreciated LoDo and its appeal for business and tourism, but live in an adjacent neighborhood (within a mile or two) that's a little quieter but still downtown and a few minutes to LoDo when needed.
