Default Year-round schools

I'm looking for information on middle schools and high schools around the Denver area and outlying areas that operate on a year-round schedule. The school district listings are impossible to read on-line (tiny print)and most of them seem to be for elementary schools. We are relocating to Colorado and need info on schools before beginning our home search. Any direction here would be appreciated!

Here in Douglas County (south metro including Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, and Parker) only some of the elementary schools run year-round. Middle schools and High schools operate on a traditional schedule.

b.adams will become famous soon enough
They seem to be phasing the year-round schooling back to "traditional" as the enrollment (# of students) decreases back to more sustainable numbers. I think one of the things with year round schooling (I'm talking Douglas County) was to build less schools, handle more students for less $$ and have to close less schools down the road when population booms, like the echo-boomers get through the system.

Academically, the year round (track) system is a tad bit superior. Its a little less friendly to "dual" working parents, I'll admit. Its pretty good if a stay at home parent is available or if one parent has work from home options available with their employer.

Most people like to complain and whine about the track system, because its not what they grew up with. I think a lot of it is that we (all of us) hate change.

The origin of the traditional (school schedule) was based around the farming communities we used to be ... but it really doesn't make sense in the big cities, because my kids aren't helping me with the harvest if I live in Highlands Ranch.

In rural areas, is still makes as much sense as ever.
