I wanted to know if it does snow in March on occasions? I'm hoping a good fair yes since I do loooove the snow and I live in San Antonio, Texas and am planning a week vacation to Denver to go around the city, experience everything it has to offer even the 420 lol! And especially getting to see and experience snow again after a long time. I mean I have seen snow just a little bit here in Central South Texas but it's not anything compared to what I want to see which is like a 2-3 inch day snowfall.
And knowing that the sun is at a higher angle the roads should be in good condition I assume around March.
I know some of you are hating me right now wanting to do voodoo on me because this Winter has been waaaay too cold even for Texas standards ... well for San Antonio standards since North Texas gets wintry most often.
I'm planning on going around Early-Mid March like between 10-15 of March somewhere around there.
Appreciate it

But it never seems that snowy to me. Although I heard Denver was hit with something like 3 feet of snow in March 2003. After 9 years in Denver, my general impression is that it usually gets very nice and warm, Spring-like. Then April hits and we get heavy, wet, slushy snow between sunny warm days.

I saw so many wrecks about this time, and you really couldn't tell just how icy the roads were under the snow. So it didn't surprise me that this happened. Then a couple hours later, it was mostly melted and roads were in decent shape. Very strange.
My wife and I were on the highway during this time. We missed this major accident by about 15-20 minutes. Thank you Einstein Bagels for being extremely busy that morning.

The roads weren't too bad, but the snow started to pick up pretty quickly while the temperature dropped. As for the drivers, there were indeed a lot of morons on the road that day driving like it was mid summer. The roads were wet and there were plenty of people driving over the speed limit. As CDOT put it, it was the trifecta of symptoms. Snow, low visibility, and bad drivers. It took all 3 for this incident to happen, not just one of them.

Berthoud Pass is closed after an avalanche swept across the road and buried a handful of cars around 3pm. No injuries reported so far.

I love this time of year. We had about 6 inches on Friday and it was gone by Saturday afternoon. Things are starting to bloom.

Amen!

Wake up to a beautiful snowy scene, roll up the sleeves by noon. Best of both worlds!

Light wind, but huge flakes down in Englewood. Must be "blowing" my way?
