Lots of good advice so far.
I'd say SE Aurora since it is still possible to buy a 3-bedroom house with that budget and on a good weather day, it doesn't take more than 30 minutes to get to DIA.
There is also a bus that runs to the airport from the 9-Mile transfer station. No idea how long that takes, but, it is an option.

Thank you again for all the advice everyone. We checked out Westminster today and it was pretty nice, especially the Amherst neighborhood.

Tomorrow we'll be looking at Centennial and SE Aurora which seems comparable price-wise but better in terms of schools. Stapleton is great and my wife really liked it but we'd be house poor by moving there now.

If you stick in SE Aurora between 225/Parker Road and Arapahoe Road it looks just like Parker and saves you time.

Both my husband and I travel for work and we live near 144th and I-25 in Broomfield. Developments here are called McKay and Broadlands - and I think both might have 3 bedroom condos. North Thornton near I-25 would also be a good option for you and I think they have neighborhoods with SFH in your price range.

Super easy access to the toll road and a pleasant drive to the airport.
