Reaching out for a friend - What is the best private or charter school a 6th grade girl from Genesee. Parents work in Denver, so someplace in between Genesee or Downtown would be ideal! Thank you!!!

None of these fit the criteria of being between Genesse and Downtown.

St. Anne's Episcopal is at Yale and University.
Graland is near Colorado Blvd and 1st Ave.
Kent is at Colorado Blvd and Quincy Ave.

Colorado Academy is on Pierce just south of Hampden - not exactly on the way, but definitely better than the other options.

There are a few Catholic schools which might fit their needs (and are a lot cheaper than the above schools):

St. Anne's Catholic is in old Arvada - 58th and Wadsworth, about a mile north of I-70.
Sts. Peter and Paul is in Wheat Ridge at 38th and about Pierce.

Best option, if possible, is Dennison Elementary (near 6th Ave and Kipling). It is a Jeffco magnet school (you might be too late to request entrance for next year) that feeds its graduates to D'Evelyn Jr./Sr. High (Kipling and Quincy) - another magnet school that is one of the best in the state. Getting into D'Evelyn is much harder but worth it.

Don't go to Graland. It's a waste of money and the staff is a joke.

How long ago? Just curious if you are talking recently or a long time ago.

A few years ago. All the staff that was there when I was attending are still there so I doubt there have been any big changes.
