Default New to Denver -- looking to offer

I'm relatively new to the denver area, I've been here for about 3 months and like the area a lot, but, I moved here for a job that didn't turn out to be what I wanted/expected it to be, so I left it. I'm extremely well educated with an Associates Degree in Electronics, A bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, and an MBA. I have a lot of personnel management experience, I also have project management experience, but no PMI or PMP license. I'm IT and people savvy. I just started looking for a position about a week ago, but I'm up for any suggestions and simply getting connected in the area. I've been contacted by some finance based firms, since I also have my series 7, but I just don't really see myself as the pushy salesman type.

Any way, even though my background is in IT education, I'm not "stuck" on IT. I'd be interested in business strategic planning, any sort of management. I'm an extremely well rounded individual, just not networked into the area as much as I would like to be. Any ideas/suggestions, or just wanna say "hi", leave me a note.
