I am interviewing this week in Denver. I think we would prefer to build if we relocate there from Texas. Does anyone have experience, good or bad, they would be willing to share about this builder/neighborhood?
Or, recommend other builders. We are looking in the $350K- $400K range. One son at home, going in to high school.
We would really appreciate your help!

Where in Denver would you work?

What type of community are you looking for?

Where would your spouse work?

What hobbies/activies/fun things are you interested in?

I'll be interviewing at The Children's Hospital. My husband will also be working for a hospital. We are not sporty people, but are looking forward to spending more time outdoors than we do in hot, humid central Texas.
We are just looking for a nice neighborhood and reasonable HOA fees.
I'm curious about Meritage because they have several floor plans that meet most of our requirements.

Any of those neightboods close to Southlands might be a good fit.

What is it about those floorplans, that you think match with your wants and needs?

My wife and I are looking at starting a house with Meritage homes, After our boondoggle with Belle Creek, we are very leary. They seem to be a good company here in Colorado, I could not find much bad about them.
Tallyns reach is well..... out in the middle of knowwhere if I remember right.

The homes in Tallyn's reach are of low quality. My cousin did a most of the building inspections. He said "they look good and have great floor plans, but that is about it". To the normal eye you will notice little, but after time you will have many problems. The homes in the Conservatory are pretty well built, granted they are track homes and you get what you pay for. My wife works at the new fitzimmons(sp) hospital off of colfax next to Children's and it takes her 25-35min. from the Conservatory. Conservatory is off of Hampden and Gun Club Rd. just north of Tallyn's reach and Southlands fall.

Default Just Meritage

Actually, while in Denver this week, I spent some time looking at houses in Parker. I REALLY like Parker. I was leary of Aurora.
Still, I am looking for information on the builders. Does anyone have any specific + or - about Meritage?
