The only thing greatschools is good for is drilling down and looking at data of test scores, free lunch, and ethnicity.
I've heard things like that, which makes me wonder about the results. Do you have another source for accurate school ratings?

The best advice I ever got about schools was from a friend who ironically, doesn't have kids herself. When we were moving to Albany, NY, where she had previously lived, she said, "There are good school districts and bad school districts there (this being more true in NY than CO), but you're not going to buy a house in a bad district".

The thing is, it's hard to "rate" schools. I don't have great advice for you, sorry.

The rest of the acitivites your kids like can be done anywhere in the metro area. A rec center with lots of kids' activities will give you an idea of where lots of kids live. Do find out where you wife will be working. It's more important here than in CA to live close to the job, d/t the weather.

Sweet Action is awful - they don't use egg yolk in their ice cream. It's like eating rock hard ice crystals.

Tomorrow is my wife's birthday, any special dessert places that you would recommend? She is normally a really healthy eater and almost no sweets, but she is making an exception for tomorrow.
