Hi All- I have been reading his forum for a while and want to thank you for providing great information. I am planning my move to Denver this summer (July) with my husband and our 1 year old daughter. The primary purpose of the move is because I will be starting my PhD. My husband is job searching in the IT field and has not found anything just yet. He is very qualified, but I guess there is a large qualified IT population, particularly in Denver. Do you have any advice for job searching while out of state? do you think it will be easier once we get there? I am super type A so I would like him to secure something before moving, if we have no choice- we have enough savings to get us by for a while. My husband has suggested maybe leaving ahead of us (maybe in may) to start the process of finding an apartment/townhouse & job a little earlier. That makes me nervous, but I'd love your thoughts and advice.
Thank you!

In IT if he can't secure a FT position he can always contract with a number of companies in IT. Contracts range from 6 months - two years. No benefits with a contract (or extremely limited) so not sure that could be an option with a one year old.

Some contract IT companies: Apex, TekSystems and Mountain LTD.
