I am looking at a home in Columbine Knolls South and I can't find much information on it here. I am wondering about the age of the residents, if there are families with younger children, if there is a good sense of community? Any community events? I haven't found a website that lists any community events or the like.

Also, I see mention of Columbine Knolls South II, what is the difference between the two?

The area I am looking at is at Elmhurst and Upham, right below Wayside Meadows Park.

Thanks!

The big difference is the CKS2 is west of Wadsworth. The HOA is voluntary. Columbine Knolls HOA and Columbine Knolls South II Homeowners' Association

I used to live in CKS2 on Alder Drive. I moved to Highlands Ranch in 1999. My kids walked to Coronado Elementary. Activities could be found with Foothills Rec. There are older homes built in the 1980's and newer 1995+ homes. Bill Wall built most of the '80's homes, then US Homes came in and filled in the empty lots.

One of my kids played baseball games at Wayside Meadows park and we know some people in this area. It is a pretty mixed demographic--some older couples with grown kids, some families with high school aged kids and there are many younger families starting to buy these homes so I do believe the area is starting to turn over. The pretty thing about this neighborhood is the mature landscaping and there is a very nice trail that runs through the area for walking, running or biking. Some of the lots are much larger than you would find with new construction. Every time we went over there my husband and I commented on how nice and established the neighborhood looked. You would also be very close to markets, schools, amenities, parks, etc. Coronado has a good reputation too.
