Default Room for rent?

Hello all!

My husband is waiting on an offer from an employer in Littleton. We have to sell our house here first (Texas). So, until we're free of the house, he needs to find a place to live in the Littleton area.

So my question is do you have a good website to recommend for finding a temporary lodging arrangement?

Thank you for your help.

Very true, but here’s a TIP. Don't say your coming from Texas. After I mentioned that either A: no one response back or B: They say that they already found someone and they sound rude about it by e-mail.

So what I ended up doing was POST on Craigslist that I plan to be coming on such and such date (not mention from Texas ) and what I was willing to pay just for a room, bathroom and closet space. I would not need to eat, use there kitchen ect.
I got plenty of response that they can hold it for me. Then I e-mailed I was coming from TEXAS. None responded back!! No LIE!!

==== You know the funny thing is.... one gentleman posted his home (5 bedroom home). He was the only one welcoming me w/ open arms and I knew why. His family was from Texas (which I also told him I was). We hit it off great by both e-mail and phone (even swapped pictures and told him my ethnicity/so even diversity was no issue w/ him) So that's where my temporarily home will be when I arrive there w/o my family.

nathalie.pearson - as for your hubby, I would not mention the he's from Texas on Craigslist, you will for SURE get a better response. I just feel this way about it. I am starting to believe my dad’s situation when he was located in Aurora (job) and the co-workers found out he was from Texas and they totally disrespect him b/c they say bad things about Texas. Guess where they are now? As for me, I am not there for the people but for my family. I will not mention to anyone, even at the church where I am from. I think it’s best I say we’re from CoS (which we originally are). I am tired of being so honest and all I get is %$#@&^%$#$#@$^* . LOL!!
If your hubby were looking more in the N. Denver area, I would probably do a room-share apartment/split w/ him. No problem at all.

** Oh this is on ROOM SHARE (when others are looking for roommates). This is not w/ leasing agents at apartments complex like studio / loft apartments.

(( No, this is not saying all Denver'ites are like that, it's just my honest opinion what I experienced so far for relocation experience))

Even here in Austin, when I see out of State plates or Colorado plates I come up by by them and honk and wave. They wave back and smile HUGE!!

Thank you for your advice!

We live in TX but we're actually from Canada. French canadians to be more precised. And with my accent I cannot lie so I hope people are cool with northerners :-)
