Went back to Old Fashioned Italian Grill again on Friday lol. This time I tried the calzone. I got the "Meat" - Ricotta Cheese, Provolone, Mozzarella, Romano, Pepperoni, Sausage & Bacon Baked In A Crust Shell.

OWE MAI GAWD. it was freakin' spectacular. I was literally smiling the entire time as I ate lol. There were multiple layers of meat and cheese with every bite. every time I cut into it, globs and globs of ricotta came oozing out. They smothered it in marinara as well. The calzone was huge, but I ate the entire thing LOL. Its like a party in your mouth, and everybody's invited.

This place is the real deal, folks. The bee's knees. Old Fashioned Italian Grill gets my self-proclaimed foodie stamp of approval.

Sunday breakfast (yesterday) at The Delectable Egg at Lowry Town Center.

Decent food - fair service.

Moderately priced.

Yeah, kind of meh. I lived across the street from it for 7 years and only bothered to go twice (I think, possibly only once) in all that time.

I went to Yolanda's for lunch today. By far the best tacos in the Metro area IMHO.

Umm... Not to put too fine of a point on it, but did you start this thread???

Now that Civic Center Eats has started I am going to be eating out twice a week; there's just no way around it.

How'd you like Sub Culture?

I happened to drive by the Old Fashioned Italian Deli right after reading about this. I asked the lady behind the counter what she would recommend, and I ended up with a hot Capo di Capo sandwich. It was delicious! I took my fiance back to try it the next day!

The French Press in Belmar. We will not be returning. Took 20 mins to get a plain croissant. When I asked waitress where it was she says "it takes time to toast it". Ummmm what???? Then another 30 mins to get a sandwhich and a breakfast plate. So a total of almost an hour.

DaeGee on Colorado Blvd. Pretty disappointed.

We went with a few friends and were really looking forward to a cook-at-your-table bbq. Nope. I guess the city won't approve the grills or something. We should have left right away, but everyone was hungry and didn't want to drive out to Aurora. I didn't see the bill because our friends paid, but it can't possibly have been worth it. For four orders of bbq, they gave us a handful of banchan (side dishes) and brought out only a few pieces of lettuce.

I had the dolsot bibimbap and it was fine. Nothing special.

I feel a little sad that this place is spoiling what could be some people's first exposure to Korean food. The exposed brick and hipster decor is fun, but unfortunately not enough. Maybe they'll get table grills eventually, but I still wouldn't go back. Being skimpy with banchan is decidedly NOT Korean.

By contrast, at the good Korean bbq places in Aurora you will get so many banchan that your table is overflowing. I can't possibly do all those at home, but I can certainly make much better Korean bbq at home than what you'll get at this DaeGee.

Too bad. I was hoping for a hip, authentic place nearby.

This is fair review of DaeGee. I've been as well and often to go to the places in Aurora. I find it good enough, but for someone's first experience into Korean food agree there are better options. I dislike when ethnic restaurants tone things down a bit at the price of authenticity to please the more prominent palates. Ah well, we'll always have the Tofu House, Seoul BBQ and Sae Jong in Aurora for the mean time .
