I was just at White Fence Farm this past weekend with extended family. The fried chicken with the family style sides is really good, but don't bother ordering anything else, it's not very good. It's very kitschy but fun to walk around and look at everything, at least the first time you go. Definitely old fashioned and family oriented, so I don't think I'd say it was cool, but I do think it's worth going.

La Sandia. Had guacamole and the tortilla soup. The guacamole was delicious, but the tortilla soup was so salty I stopped eating after only a couple of bites. It was gross!

AMAZING!! Absolutely loved it! We shared the Nachos from the Appetizer menu and took our entrees home as the meal was so big! Great selection of organic soft drinks (free refills) and teas. Their vegan desserts were great too. Our favorite was the zucchini date cake.

We haven't been to their other locations in the Denver area, and apparently those have been open for a while, but the University Park location has only been open for a few weeks. We're definitely going back!
The nachos are the best!

Eat there quite a bit. The gyros bowl is great.

La Sandia is great for happy hour on the roof. Great views.

Fortunately, I have that very same view from my dining room. In any case, I won't go back. Everything was over salted, and it was noisy.

They have a rooftop patio? The only one I know of is in Stapleton. Is there another one?

Yes, it's at the Park Meadows Mall, and he's right, the view is nice. Part of the patio is covered, so you can enjoy the outdoors but stay out of the sun.

I didn't know that. Thanks! We eat at the Sandias in Stapleton maybe 4 times per year and I suppose it's OK. I have no complaints, but then I'm not a "foodie".

Angelos Taverna in Capitol Hill. Ate off the appetizer/small plate menu and was very satisfied. Several different takes on oysters, and you can buy them individually for $1 ala mix and match some of those varieties. Not sure if that was just a happy hour thing or not though. Either way, good stuff.
