Thanks ColoWeb. I would love to see your shots. I saw a photo of the lake at Mount Evans and it was stunning. I really want to see Denver but I really really want to see what the Rocky Mountains are all about. Do you know of any helicopter tours in Denver?I can't seem to find any

You can go watch "What Would Jesus Buy" at the Starz FilmCenter. I hear it's a pretty good movie but it's not playing in many theaters. Good film to watch at this time of year.

I have ~50 photos of Mount Evans but I uploaded and resized 26 of them. Photography is a hobby of mine (I have thousands of photos) and I take way too many photos (different angles, perspective etc.). The 26 uploaded are the better/summary of the journey to the top at 14,258’. I took this Labor Day 2007. The first photo is on the way to the main road.

OMG!!! Those pics are stunning. My god. What beauty. These are wonderful shots. Thanks very much for sharing. I'm real dissapointed now that Mount Evans won't be open while i'm there. I really like the shots of the goats up there. Thanks again.

Excellent shots, I have of some of those same darn goat! They were jumping on some of the cars on one trip and dented a few. It was all fun and games until they started getting close to my 2 week old car. I actually got out and started honking my horn to keep them off. It's all fun and games until someone looses an eye!

That's hilarious. Back when I lived in Alaska, we would drive up to the mountains and you'd have to deal with mountain goats and stuff. They can be quite the stubborn animal. Very beautiful animals though.

Daniel,
Glad you like it! If you like these, yo would also love Rocky Mountain National Park. Again, however, the top protions of it will be closed.

So far when I go to RMNP Late March/April it was only open half way. It is open all the way by the ned of may. It is diffrent each year based on the winter, snow, and the amount of work involved in cleaning it up. Top portions of RMNP have 10 feet or moreof snow to remove.

As for helicopter tours, I do not know of any and sure they are expsnive. I searched online and found this http://www.signaturedays.com/signatu...=33&exp_id=167
30 Minutes for $440. Not sure about you but for a student like me, that is very expesnive. Almost a month's worth of rent.

DenverAztec,
Yeah goats are nice as long as they stay a few feet a way.

Daniel T, you will just have to come back in the summer, or fall for school.

Mount Evans (I had bad weather rolling in and it was 21 degrees when I got close to the top, so they closed it. The roads were black ice coming down and not a place you want to be as there are no guard rails. It was sunny and 60s in Denver that same day,)

Echo Lake

Window up as he was one of the jummpers

Coming down

Rocky Mountain National Park/Estes Park, Trail Ridge Road is a must see!

Think "Sound of Music"

State Flower - the Columbine

Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Steven King wrote the "Shinning" in this hotel and based his story off of it's haunted history.
