Hoping to Move to Denver
Hi all
I am HOPING (depends if I can get a job or not) to move to Denver from Iowa. I will graduate from the University of Iowa in May 2008 and I really love Denver so I am planning on moving there. But I was wondering if anyone could help me out with finding a good place for a young female to live?? I love LoDo and I really want to live there or the Ballpark District. Only problem is that those areas are kinda of expensive, and since I'll just be starting a new job I won't have the best income. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any good apartment deals in those areas? I am only looking for a studio, preferably with a fitness center but if not no biggie. Any help would be GREAT!
Also if anyone knows any marketing groups looking to hire a recent grad, Let me know!

Not sure about marketing jobs but I would look it up on craigslist, I found my job on there when I moved out here from California and it worked great. Downtown is going to be hard to find a cheap apartment with amenities like a fitness center. Usually down in that area the spectrum of good to bad apartments is fairly drastic. Usually the cheaper apartments are going to be in older buildings with few (if any) amenities at all and if you are looking for a place like that usually you are gona have to pay a lot more for it

I agree with steveco. It might be cheaper to just join a fitness center. Your job may offer discounts to some as well.

Hey Roth, (Totally in the same situation) I too am planning a move out to Denver as soon as I finish my boards for RN (hopefully early Feb). I've been doing a lot of research as well. I've found that apartmentratings.com, craigslist.com as well as cornerstoneapartments.com look promising. You should check it out, there may be something you like.
Good Luck

PS-Studios are pretty small, you sure you could live in a 475sq.ft. "box" where you eat, sleep, and lounge in the same place???

I live downtown by Coors, but rent is very expensive. If I didn't live with my boyfriend, I would not be able to afford rent on my own.

I know rent is going to be expensive. I am planning on paying $700 or a little more for a studio. I was just curious to know the good places to live in that area? Especially since I will be living by myself.
