You MIGHT be able to find a small townhouse or condo in a decent area (I'm talking under 1,000 square feet), but if you want a single family house you won't find anything for under $1,000/mo payment that's not in a really crummy area. Denver is cheaper in some aspects than Phoenix (food, transportation, utilities), but housing is roughly 30-50% more expensive for what you get.

Too depressing to read this for someone who wants to move to Denver from South Florida


Is Denver that much more expensive than South Florida, and Southern California? For REAL!?
