Love self-checkout, but as a singleton, I never have many groceries at one time so it works for me. I can't imaging self-checking a huge shop! Lots of opinions on here and I'm beginning to think satisfaction with a particular chain has more to do with their location than anything else. Food from the deli, for instance, is high quality at certain stores.

Agree about King Sooper's Chester's chicken. Yum! Ordered quantities for 20 or more people twice this summer for visiting relatives get-togethers.

Agree about the Safeway Eating Right frozen meals. We just moved here from the east coast and I was thrilled to see that there was a Safeway near our new home and that they carry those meals. I like them much better than the name brands, and you can't beat the price. Addicted to the Chicken Methi Malai for lunch.
