Is Cherry Creek reservoir still open for swimming? If so are there any set hours in which one can use the beach? Thanks a bunch!

The world wide web is such a wonderful thing. On the web page for Cherry Creek Reservoir it says:
"The Lake closes to swimming the day after Labor Day." Spelling corrected by me.

Even if it is, why would you want to?? Yuk! And even though it's hot in the afternoon, with cool nights lately, I think the water would be too cold.

They probably only close it so they don't have to bother testing it for e.coli and announcing it is closed because of elevated e.coli.
