Agreed. I think a lot of people actually did stay home this morning. There seemed to be a lot less cars on the highway. Of course I still saw my fair share of RWD vehicles sliding all over the place. RWD can work with proper tires, but these trucks and older BMWs just didn't have them. Hopefully they made it where they were going safely and didn't wreck someone else in the process.

Last night was a different story. I left work at 4 and everyone was flying to get home. I saw a couple of spin outs. More snow coming this weekend.

I take all local roads, no highways, and they seemed pretty empty. I got to work just a few minutes after my normal time and the parking lot was about 2/3 as full as normal, although people have been trickling in so it's pretty full at this point. The sun is out right now, and mostly down to pavement anywhere that was shoveled or plowed. I shoveled the sidewalk this morning but didn't have time to do the driveway. It's northern exposure (alley loading) and rarely melts anyway, but fingers crossed it's not too bad when I get home.

I have no reason to leave the house except work which is less than 1 mile away. Otherwise why take the risk??

Last night, the roads were treacherous when I was out at rush hour, mostly because of blowing snow. This morning, the plows had been through, and traffic on this end of town is moving smoothly. Buses were on time to pick up students. There's a bit of belly-aching around the neighborhood about school being in session, but I don't think cancellation was warranted. We'll see how things bear out with this next round of snow.

We had 7 inches on the previously bare driveway around midnight last night. I'm running out of places to put it.

This morning, I went to shovel my steep driveway and my sidewalk. I fell three times and now I hurt all over.

It's still going.

I am still at work. Looks like a fun traffic filled drive home for me. It is all good.

Getting ready to go play Arvada-Aurora and back taxi for a friend. I'll report back when I get home.

Good luck.

The snow is letting up a bit here at work. I am sure the roads will still suck.
