Default Gun ranges?

Was thinking about getting my first gun but I was wondering if there are any good ranges near Arvada....searching didn't turn up to much.

Thanks!

James

Yep Partner--In Arvada the oldest and I mean old, range is off Wadsworth, near the Park and Ride. http://www.arandpc.org/

You will get to meet some real old timers there who will talk your ear off--or shoot it off, and tell you how they were in the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Yep, a real good time.

We just relocated to Highlands Ranch and my husband is interested in a range also in the area. Any thing closer than Arvada or any sportsman's clubs?

Not really the type of place I'm looking for. I really don't have an 8-5 job more of a random schedule. Would like to find a place I can go pay, shoot, go home. Although, it does look like a nice setup there. And if you could go shoot there any time during the week that would be cool. But it looks like they schedule everything and anything that goes on at the range?

James

Default What type of gun?

If you're talking pistols, there a few good indoor ranges. I'm down south in Littleton, so I'm not so familiar with your area, but Green Mountain Family Shooting Center is my favorite indoor range. It's in Lakewood at Wadsworth and Jewell, just north of 285.

There is also a range at Cherry Creek State Park, although I've not been there myself, just heard about it.

Because I don't like shooting indoors, I joined Golden Gun Club. Our range is out east near the airport. We have pistol, rifle, trap and skeet.

When we lived in Parker, CO, we went to the Family Shooting Center inside Cherry Creek State Park by the 225 freeway. I pasted the Internet address below.

Default Gun range

There is a public indoor pistol range/firearms store at Dartmouth and sante fe.
It has excellent ventilation, and is a small family owned business.
There is hardly ever any wait time to shoot, and the prices are very competitive too!.
The address is 2980 s Galapago Englewood, Co 80110
phone number: 303-781-3382
I thought it was a very nice place to shoot, and bought my Bersa .380 there!

The NRA has a nationwide listing of a lot of ranges, what they offer and contact info.

Here's the CO listing:

The firing line near 225 and Colfax is decent. As an added bonus you can fire lead shot from shotguns mon-thurs.

The Cherry Creek range posted above is in my opinion scary.
