So I have been back in Denver since late July after living in NYC for about 9 years (I grew up here and my family is here). I'm currently living at home and have been approved for a very large (almost abhorrent) home loan with a size able down payment. Problem is I want to purchase a multi family only. Now I know the reality of the real estate market in Denver right now - and yes it's terrible for buyers. Though I do see some very good deals come and go very quick, and if I had the right connection I may have been able to get my hands on on one of them.

I have been working with a broker for the past several months, who has been "less" then helpful. All of the houses we have looked at - are ones I have found on my own (not him). He is not aggressive with offers, is often unclear how long homes have actually been on the market, and doesn't even really specialize in the neighborhood I'm looking in. He has also done some rather "shady" things as well. He even went so far as to tell me I MUST use his lender or he won't work with me any more! Sorry but I prefer to use my bank.. Long story short - I don't think it's working out with him anymore.

Was wondering if anyone knows of any legit brokers specializing in the Denver/Capital Hill/Uptown area that are aggressive and can help me find a multi family home?

what neighborhood do you want to live in?
purchase multi-family? buy 1/2 to live in or buy the entire building and rent out part?

There is no rule that anyone MUST use a broker, inspector, lender, or title company.

I recommend professional service providers based solely upon past client satisfaction.

I also reserve the right to think, that by using someone I have not worked with in the past, this may come back to bite you. But I have also been wrong. To be honest, if a buyer wants to use a lender I do not know and they are local, I make an appointment to have a 15 minute chat, so that we may both work in the best interest of the client. Beecause that is the job.
