Hello all.

I am new to Denver, having been here a little over 2 months. For my job, I have to park on the street. Just in the last week or so, there have been a lot of movable, newly placed signs saying the whole street I park on (Firth St) is a No Parking - Tow Away Zone.

What's up with this? Am I at risk of being towed if I park there?

Thanks for any help.

I have no clue what's going on on Firth St (do you mean 5th Street?), but if you park in a Tow Away Zone then I'd imagine you're at risk of being towed away.

This may be temporary since sometimes they put no parking signs along a street if they are doing construction or road work.

Thanks for the replies. Actually, Firth St (funny name, I know). They seem temporary, but I see more and more of them all over the place. They can't turn the whole city into a No Parking Zone I guess.

Well, Firth Street is narrow, short and weird.

They are probably getting ready to do some road work. If you park there and they need to dig the street up, they will probably move your car for you.

Thanks SkyDog. Haven't noticed any activity on the street and was kind of thinking that might be the case. I went to check and see just in case and BAM 6 City of Denver vehicles are there now. Probably moved just in time.

Thanks!
