Actually it is not. Unconstitutional checkpoints for no reason to stop you for doing nothing.

Murderers with badges. Killing for no reason. Look up stats on how many people they've killed this year. Better hope you don't have a dog, they love to murder those.

Beating a man's head into the ground for no reason...drugs..whatever....was he hurting anyone?

Throwing a pregnant woman to the ground? Common daily occurrence.

I had to laugh at the post mentioning calling them for road rage. That's a bright idea. They will show up, toss YOUR car, plant what they feel like, arrest you, shoot your dog, and beat your face in.

Youtube is your friend. This is all the norm now and people are not stopping it.

Cops don't like assertive people, especially if those people are correct.
Aurora is not far behind Denver as to rouge cops. The issue is that both departments are protected by a civil service commission which will overturn firings of officers, unless the situation is clearly so heinous that no other remedy is possible. However, even if fired, these officers will find work in another department in another part of the state that will value their experience. Generally, they hired by small town sheriffs and police departments.

Years ago, I knew of a cop who was placed under suspension by the Aurora PD for attempting to register his vehicle in another county than his county of residence to save money. After being red-flagged by the DMV at one county office, he tried another and was then arrested and charged with a felony. He was allowed to plead to a misdemeanor and then allowed back to work and promoted to sergeant.

Generally, the only time an officer in Aurora or Denver can be fired without protection is when they are on their initial 12-month probation after being hired. The civil service board cannot protect them in this situation.

The police officers in the smaller departments around the Denver metro area are not protected by a civil service agreement. While many may belong to the FOP, that is not a very strong union. They will provide a lawyer should an officer get into trouble, but the city administrations of the smaller departments can generally make their case to the city manager and any citizen review board which will generally uphold a termination.

For years, the main law firm that represented metro cops under the FOP was Fogel, Keating & Wagner and another attorney named Louis Bruno.
