where to live in denver?
I am graduating in a little over a year and plan to move to Denver. i have only been there once and feel as if i did not get to see enough but i was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions of where to live. i am 21 and would like an area with some night life. i also would like to be able to bike downtown no more then a 15 min bike ride. and suggestions?

Tons of info already here on this set of desires.....use our Search This Forum tool, or the advanced version (really cool) with keywords like: downtown, Lodo, nightlife, night life, single, bike, bicycle, walkable.

There are lots of up and coming neighborhoods close to downtown. Highlands comes to mind, but I'm sure there are others that would meet your needs too. Berkeley Park, Wash Park, Capitol Hill......I guess it kinda depends on where in downtown you would need to bike ride to and how much you want to spend..

i'd imagine some people can bike ride to most of downtown-proper (hi-rise downtown, night life, government buildings) within 15 minutes or so from most of those neighborhoods. could be a bit of a work out, but most is doable from say wash park to west of the platte, congress park to the cherry creek trail or baker, within 15 (a bit briskly for some of that, maybe) or so.

I'd look at Capitol Hill. Fairly cheap places to live there, and you can walk/bike to everything.

There are many fine areas in close proximity to the downtown area that offer affordable rent. Capitol Hill has many fine renovated victorian homes that have been converted to accomodate apartment units. Many of these are not always listed, so it helps to do some research (and even meet some people in the area).
Before I become too much of a chatter box, what are you looking to spend in rent? That will help narrow your search significantly.
