Anchorage, AK. Or maybe the Black Hills region of South Dakota.
I've been in Denver for 8 years and still feel like it's not a permanent home for me.

Thanks! We both have pensions and paid extra into them instead of living above our means during our earning years. My husband started teaching a long time ago and was paid well. I don't think teachers starting out today would be able to do as well.

I like going to the beach once or twice a year. Other than that, I'm pretty damn happy right here in Colorado!

Edinburgh, Scotland...or maybe one of the islands, like Skye.

Dunedin, New Zealand...

But then...though different...isn't that still a bit like living in Colorado? I can't think of any city in North America I'd rather be in...honestly. I love it here. I'd have to go international to find anywhere else I might want to live.

I'd love to have the money/job where I could live June-September near Seattle or Vamcouver, but other than that hard to beat Denver. Anyone who has lived up there knows there really is no better place on earth for those 4 months. Then the other 8 months happen.

If I'm staying in the US, I'll go with:

Fort Collins-summer
Hawaii-winter
