In my opinion the older the tree the better. Generally you plant these in fall or spring.

It was a huge year for our trees. The year before they didn't produce at all because Mother Nature confused them by snowing a few times in April 2013.

I've been told that spring is better for planting new trees here. Winters are actually quite dry and dessication damage can be a problem.

Sour cherries are easier to grow in Denver than sweet.

Peaches survive the winter in Denver area but may not fruit in all years due to spring frosts and/or winter cold. Choose a hardy variety like Reliance. Good luck.
