Safeway, King Sooper's.

Looking at last week's flyer from King Sooper's: they had Vitamin Water on sale for $.69 per bottle. Small print says "When you buy 10 in the same transaction with Card. Quantities less than 10 will be priced at $.89 each."

Similarly, the boxes of twelve cans of soda that I bought were the "4 for $9.00" I already noted, and the small print says "When you buy 4 or more in the same transaction with Card. Quantities less than 4 will be priced at $2.50 each."

Safeway had Chunky Soup on sale that was "4 for $5.00 with card" or "4 for $4.00 with card and coupon when you buy four."

Similarly, 2-liter bottles of Coca Cola products that were "4 for $5.00 when you buy four."

Of course some things are just "2 for $5.00", no small print, and those are $2.50 per unit.
Got to read the small print.

I have noticed that with a lot of the bottled/canned drinks King Sooper's sells, but not with other products. Sometimes some canned veggies will be like "10 for $10" but if you buy two, you pay $2. And so on.

What stores don't let you use manufacturer's coupons on sale items?

I think there was a CVS at the corner of Simms and Bellevue for about 10 minutes. Opened and then shut to become a Goodwill. As noted, they were coming here, but those plans clearly went out the door with the Eckerd thing. Walgreens is open across the street from that old CVS.

Back in the Midwest it is not even slightly unusual to see a Walgreens on one corner and CVS across the street 200 feet away. Both open and busy! Of course, back there, they can sell beer and liquor if they want - can't do that with Colorado's silly liquor laws.

I've had that experience in Albertson's.

CVS bought out Target's pharmacy business so, they are now operating inside Target stores.

This is the first deal referenced in Dave's link.

BusinessDen CVS jumps into Denver real estate market - BusinessDen

So far, no signs of any retail store there but maybe they are waiting to get another couple of sites and then build and open all at once.

The Target sites are just the Rx drugs, not retail outlets.

I shopped at that store on Simms and Bellview several times during those ten minutes lol.. It threw me off how quickly they abandoned that location.
