Hello,
I am moving back to Colorado from the East Coast. I have to find a place quick and will be working at the DTC. We are looking for a townhome/duplex to rent (3 bed 2 bath) but have found it difficult to find many options at a decent price. A place around Parker Road, South of Cherry Creek Res, or around Highlands Ranch. Are there primarily ones for sale in the area? Also, I have found some south of Reunion up on 104th near DIA. I am from the Northglenn, Westminster area so I know these would be good, but not sure about commuting as I never worked south. Does anyone commute via Tower-Pena-I225 to the DTC. If so how terrible is it on an average day? I know 25 is still a mess even after T-Rex, but not that sure about 225. Thank you. Jason Last edited by Oxyrinchus; 01-09-2008 at 12:00 PM.. where in the DTC? Define what a "terrible" commute would be.
Elaborate what your needs are. The very nice people here will do their level best to make suggestions. |

Hi,
Thanks for your questions. I will be working at approx 6400 South Yosemite Street, Greenwood Village. If I could make it there in about 45 minutes that would be fine. It looks like mapquest from Reunion area would be about 30 min drive without traffic. I remember I225 used to get backed up when trying to go south on 25. I would like to be southeast or east of the DTC for closeness to work and price. Highlands Ranch is a bit too much right now. The north part is because I have family up in Thornton and Northglenn that it would be nice to be around. My brother commuted for a while from Northglenn to the DTC for a while and said count on an hour, but that was down I-25 the whole way, which I hear is worse than 225. Thanks |

I would look south of Hampden. Centennial, Englewood, Littleton, even Parker.
Reunion, although it is a very nice community, would be a nightmare, in traffic, or weather. |

What price range are you looking at? We have houses in our neighborhood -- Cherry Creek Farm south of Caley between Havana and Dayton -- that are rentals. I've seen rents for around $1,800/month for 3 bedroom/2bath and we are in Cherry Creek School District. It's a nice neighborhood, just older and smaller homes than most of the rest around us.

What is your price range? Did you only want a townhome or would a house be okay too? I'd think Parker, Lone Tree, Englewood, or Aurora South would have plenty to look at. We're in Lone Tree near Lincoln/Yosemite and my wife was driving to DTC for work last year near Orchard. It took her about 20 mins from door to door.
