I'm moving out from Massachusetts. I'm hoping to get a job in Thornton but I want to live in Denver somewhere, I need some place affordable enough for a poor graduate student but pretty safe. I want to live where there is stuff to do, parks, coffee shops, bars, grocery store near by. Any suggestions. Also, I don't want to live somewhere haunted, so if you know of any haunted places let me know. What is the morning and afternoon commute time like from from Denver to Thornton? I'll have to be to work by 7 am and I'll get out around 2. Thanks.

I commute from the Stapleton area (6 mi. east of downtown) to Thornton every day and it's about 9 miles and 12 - 15 minutes. I go home at lunch to walk the dog, so it's not at all bad. From around downtown, it would be about the same, if not shorter.
You might want to check out Capital Hill area. Urban, close to downtown, walkable, lots to do, and you can probably find something to rent for 5 or $600. |
