The Hwy 36 project was a joke and never should have been permitted. It's kind of like building a new stadium for your state's football team. Our tax money paid for it, but you can't afford a ticket to go to the game. What fun is that?

The toll lane on 36 is charging ridiculous money.

So, as a young person who is considering moving to Denver from out of state... I gather that would be a bad idea?

I mean, it sounds insane to voluntarily pay these astronomically-high rent prices. I feel like I would be worsening a problem. I would be one of "those" people. And I'd feel bad.

I agree, the US 36 toll lane project is a joke. They should of just made it 10 lanes and it would of made an impact on traffic, but no. CDOT just puts another band-aid to the problem and not fix the solution. Colorado sucks at future projections and planning. It seems like they don't care.

New 1 bedroom apts at Broadway and Mississippi starting at $1,325 and up to $1,645 (944 sq ft). Yes, it's becoming unaffordable without decent employment.

And who would have paid for it? The populace of Colorado doesn't seem to think that funding is required to build road infrastructure you get the resulting tolled lane projects because that's the only thing that works. US-36, I-25, I-70, C-470 all have toll lanes, or will soon have them, because that's what works financially. Want toll free roads? Pay more taxes.

Modify TABOR that exempts road funding for taxes.
