Hello folks,

Me and my girlfriend have moved to Denver this past week and are looking for good apartments/condo (2b/2b). I work at Fiddlers Green Circle, Greenwood Village and she works at Buckley AFB. Please don't judge us but these are our criteria:

a. Budget within 1800$,
b. Safe neighborhood,
c. 15 minutes (at max 20) driving distance for both of us,
d. Mountain view.

So far we have looked at a few apartments but the only one with a mountain view that we have liked is Lugano at Cherry Creek. I am wondering:

a. If anyone would have any advice on Lugano? Are there routes that I can take to DTC to avoid traffic? My hours are 9 to 5. Her hours are 7 to 4. Is the area safe? 9601 E Iliff Ave, Denver, CO 80231
b. Are there any particular apartments/condo that you would recommend?

Thank you for your advice!

I appreciate it.

Thank you,
Ravi

Unfortunately, 15-20 minutes outside of DTC does not get you very far out of DTC. The Parker/ Iliff intersection to Fiddler's Green will take closer to 30 minutes during rush hour times. You're going to have to settle for a longer commute because I don't think there is any single location that would be only 15-20 minutes from either place during rush hour times.

The Lugano is a fairly new complex. I toured the place when it was brand new in 2010. Pretty nice development, although it wasn't my cup of tea and I thought it was way overpriced. It is on the top of a hill overlooking the Cherry Creek floodplain, so it would have the mountain views you are looking for. IMO, the area along Dayton just south of Iliff (Lugano is on the north side) is not so nice, with some really low rent apartments/ condos.
