Quoting the OP: You are allowed to mention only one thing (honor system - don't cheat!).

Most everyone who responded cheated! To them I say "someone left the door open (but you can always leave through the same door)"

My honest "one answer" is I don't like the east side (outside the city limits). As you move further west, the picture becomes much brighter!

This was hard, because there are some irritants rather than hatred, and reading some other posts, I found myself thinking, "I agree with that," or "Yeah, that's one of my concerns," (cost of living, for example...)

I would have to say my hate is people who disregard safe driving practices in inclement weather. If the roads are icy, by all that is holy, don't tailgate me!!!!

I truly mean this:

For every 1 thing I dislike about Denver, there are about 500 that I love about Denver.

This is a great place to live.

Huh, I'm the exact opposite. I lived in a Spanish speaking country for a year, so whenever I see something written in Spanish, I like to see how much of it I can translate.

(Please don't anybody ask me to carry on a conversation in said language. Conjugating verbs is my downfall!)

I think many if not all of us agree with this. Most of the responses are from die hard Denver fans like myself. It comes from living multiple places, liking the amenities and fitting in well here.

The claim of "300 days of sunshine" that don't include the caveat that more than half will be below freezing, windy, bone dry, or all three.

Denver is hardly as comfortable outside as the city booster pretend it is. Compared to Coastal CA, there are about maybe 50-70 days that are usable outdoor days compared to a true 300+ in coastal CA.

Believe me, we want back and forth on considering this move because of how much we love it here, but $$ and being in the same city as family finally won out.

And, whomever mentioned being landlocked, that is a good point. I agree.
