Default Greenwood Village to Commerce City???

My husband and I are moving to CO for his job and found a furnished apartment to live in for 3 months while he is working there. His job is in Commerce City and the apartment is in Greenwood Village. How long would it take to get to work everyday with traffic?

from where to where - I'd guess 40 minutes via e-470 so add another $10/day in tolls.

Is this only for 3 months, then you'll go back? Try looking in Stapleton, Reunion, Lowry, Murphy Creek for an easier commute.

What about you? Will you be looking for work?

We will most likely be staying after the 3 months, but his company wants us to live in a furnished aparmtent just in case he is transferred somewhere else. In the beginning I will just be looking for a part time job until we know whether or not we are staying. I would love to find something in the Westminster, Arvada, Broomfield area. I was looking in the Thornton, Brighton area, but looking at the forums it doesn't look like a safe place to stay. Thanks for the help!

The commute depends on the time of day. The shortest route is right up I-225 and you might be going against the rush, so the trip could be less than a half hour.

I would not call Westminster or Brighton unsafe places to live. Most of Westminster is above average, and Brighton is removed from the metro area enough that they are considered a small 'agricultural area' town with very little crime.

The only area near Commerce City i would avoid is north Aurora.
