Many people say Arvada has large lots. So I got on the mls website and entered the OPs price range and 2 - 3 car garages. I found 45 listings. There were 5 with lots >20,000 Sq ft, including one at 1 acre and 1 at 2.5 acres. There were 3 with lots 10,000 to 19,999 sq ft (most right around 10,000). There were a few in the 9000 sq ft range, many in the 7 - 8,000 range and a number not specified. My guess would be a large lot is considered a selling point, thus would be noted. I do defer to Noahma, as he is a builder.

Good luck with the lot size given all of the other requirements.

You do realize you are moving to a city right?

I did not notice what your price range is untill now. lol I think we can do better than Northglenn for that price point. Let me see what we can find.

I know the lots in Bradburn are not that large, but the community is VERY nice, with parks all over the place, it is a very close nit community.
Here is what I did find in that sub-division that meets your style, and very close to your price range

Craftsman bungalo
Obeo
notes:
I absolutly love the prarie style front door, with the leaded glass. Classic to this and the prarie style.

Mcstain just started producing homes for Bradburn, From what i know of them, they are going to have solar pannels, and be energy star compliant.

Bradburn Village | Tearsheets | Bradburn Homes
more of a victorian flare to it, but still a nice looking home. The floorplan is not that bad at all ither, very functional.

Bradburn Village | Tearsheets | Bradburn Homes
this is close to the style of the last, its is more of an Eastlake victorian style that would be close to the styles found in sanfransisco, or along the west coast.
This floorplan I find to be more appealing than the last mcstain that I had listed.

Bradburn Village | Tearsheets | Bradburn Homes
not as good floorplan wise, but lower in your price range.

Bradburn Village | Home is the website for you to take a look at. I will check around for more that might fit your needs here soon.

That meth lab house cracks me up. I was once a public health nurse (visiting nurse) in that area. That is actually one of the nicer areas of Northglenn. Believe me, I've seen it all! I wouldn't be surprised if I had been in that house at one time.

If you want the yard, it seems your choices would be better in Jefferson Co (Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, etc).

Bradburn1 will become famous soon enoughBradburn1 will become famous soon enough
The first house Noahma listed in Bradburn is sold (it's down the street from me), not sure why it's still listed--people moved in last summer. Cute house though.

McStain has some of the largest lots in Bradburn. That being said, "large" here means 8000 sq feet, I think the largest lot in our whole neighborhood is 9000 or so (last I checked it's still available). However, we have great schools, great architecture, can walk to all sorts of things (including a great K-12 charter school and in the future, another elementary school in the neighborhood itself), and are adjacent to open space that has trails that go on forever (good for mtn bikers and runners). We are also super, super social and friendly (if you don't like talking to your neighbors, it won't be for you). McStain offers 3 car garages and Craftsman elevations--cute paint jobs too.

If you want new Craftsman architecture with a larger lot (although not walkability) you might check out Erie Village in Erie (much longer commute to Denver metro from there though).

Erie Village consists of mostly Queen Anne Victorian style architecture, there are a few craftsman, and various other styles thrown in, all of classic origons. Great subdivision though.
My office has designed well over 20 homes there, and alwase had fun with them.

Here is a link with some of the listings in there at the moment.
Erie Village Real Estate | Homes, Condos and Land in Erie Village, Erie CO

the first two listed are Craftsman.
The lots are quite a bit larger than in bradburn, and things are pretty well spread out.
