So we are thinking about moving to either Denver or Sioux Falls and we want to know what the pros and cons are for them. Which has better scenery and also whice has more stuff to do. Also how bad is traffic in each

I've been to Sioux Falls a couple of times and these cities are so different that they are hardly comparable.

Sioux Falls is a smallish Midwestern city. Metro area population of 250,000

Denver is a regional metropolis at the foot of the Rocky Mountains with a metro area population of 3,000,000.

What do you want in a place to live? Why have you narrowed it down to these two cities?

Your budget, whatever it may be, will go miles further in Sioux Falls.

Denver's probably gonna win on most counts because of sheer size.

Both cities are on the plains, but Denver's nestled near the base of the Rockies. The Black Hills are nice, but they're a 4-5 hour drive away.

Denver has all 4 major sports, Sioux Falls has none (the nearest city w/ all four is Minneapolis/St. Paul, another 4 hours by car).

Winters in Sioux Falls are brutal. They get roughly 10 fewer inches of snow than Denver, but the daytime highs are 15-20 degrees colder on average.

Flying in and out of Denver will also be considerably cheaper than Sioux Falls.

One area where Sioux Falls may shine - cost of living. If that's your main driver then Sioux Falls wins hands down.

I would go with Denver over Sioux Falls, Sioux Falls is a decent smaller growing city, but the property taxes are nasty there. Denver is crowded, no nature in Sioux Falls.
