I think I've posted this once before but can't seem to find it amongst all the great posts of questions.
My husband has a '67 Nova he's going to rebuild and my father-in-law has - 1 '67 Vette, 60's something convertible Covell, '40 something street race ford and a 5 window post pick up truck soon to be redone once the move is made to CO.
Can anyone give any information on Car Culture in the Denver Area, such as local car shows, Friday night burger joint meet ups and such? For older folk and mid thirties?
i don't know much about that stuff but it seems to be big out here. i see classic cars all the time. just be sure to keep your distance when driving your car, as there is a lot of gravel on the roads. the big semis are constantly kicking rocks up. no one in colorado has a spotless windshield.
Is there a list some where of local Denver Car shows? I will be going to visit in early June and will be driving my 1954 Chevrolet Belair street rod convertible from Seattle to Denver and would like to check out the local scene?

Derek, it's okay to put your contact in here, but this site is crawled daily by bots looking for email addys to sell to spammers.
You can safeguard that info by putting it in your Profile and telling folks to click on that for contact data. I can edit that out from your posting if you tell me to do so.
I've sent an email to a friend who collects and sells old Chryslers and Lincolns in the Denver area. He should know of quite a few car clubs in the area. I will post what I find once he responds to me.
Colorado is great as far as restoring a vehicle due to its dry climate. Just don't drive your vehicle on a snowy day. It's true about the windshields. They do get pitted and cracked here, but if you watch out for the weather, you should be ok. I was caught in a hail storm with my 65 Buick Special Convertible. I was able to get it out of the storm just in time! It was pretty scarry.
There is a magazine called the scoop ,sold at King Scooper stores . It has a yellow cover with black print. Printed on newspaper stock ( cheap paper). If you cannot find it let me know.It has most of the car stuff in the area. This comming weekend is the Goodguys Show in longmont /Loveland /Budweiser event center. The scoop will be on sale there & NAPA has discount tickets. R.A.
There's a bowling alley in Wheat Ridge, just west of Sheridan on 32nd Ave, that seems to have a pretty frequent Friday night classic car meet up. I also biked past a place Saturday that was having a meetup. It was on about 48th and Harlan and it was a classic car and motorcycle type of event. I think it was at a bar or restaurant but both events really had a lot of nice looking classic cars.
