Hi! My boyfriend and I are moving to Littleton next month. We will be renting before we buy. There are SO many apartment complex options, I don't know where to start. We are both outdoorsy and prefer to be closer to moutains, trails, scenery and outdoors vs shopping, etc. Anyone have any recommendations on areas of Littleton or specific apartment communities, even if in other areas? He will be working out in Waterton and myself in Denver. (dog-friendly is a must). Thanks!!

Littleton covers a whole lot of ground. City of Littleton in Arapahoe County? South Jefferson County? Northern Douglas County?

Cross streets for work is better. Renting is hard.

Waterton is not in Littleton. It's far from the City of Littleton.

Lighten up.

Her boyfriend is working for Lockheed Martin. It is in unincorporated Jefferson County, so it has a Littleton address like all the areas around it.

Your best bet is to live near the Mineral Light Rail Station at Mineral and Santa Fe Drive (US-85). If you are working downtown, light rail might be your best bet.

It is also near the South Platte River trail, Chatfield Reservoir, and you can access the mountains via Deer Creek Canyon or C-470 and US-285.

Use padmapper.com to look into the areas around Mineral and Santa Fe.

A budget and other requirements would help .

Found this on padmapper.

About a mile and a half east of light rail and near C-470 which will take your boyfriend to Wadsworth and south to Waterton.

Open Floorplan, Spacious, Beautiful Mountain View, On Site Dog Park

Thank you DavidV! We are looking at 2 bedroom apartments in the $1400-$1700 range but can go higher. And yes, he is going to be working onsite at Lockheed Martin...was aware Waterton is not Littleton...Littleton seemed to be a good middle location for both he and I to commute.

I liked the look of Escape at Ken Caryl a little better. Plus, the garages and pet fees/deposits are more reasonable as well. I am moving in this weekend, so I'll soon find out. You also get a membership for Ken Caryl Ranch, which has a few swimming pools, hiking trails, etc. Home - Ken-Caryl Ranch
