Oh, and having an extension painter's pole on hand that you can go out and wack the trees and bushes with helps to.
I'll admit that at this point I'd prefer rain but moisture from snow is better than no moisture so I just go with the flow. I'm hoping Sunday isn't awful as my son is preparing to run his first half marathon Sunday morning in Fort Collins

That does not sound like much fun, but he will have quite the war story to tell if he sticks it out and runs anyway.

Skydog, that snow map you posted is great! Do all the western states have similar maps?

BTW, with this weekend snow storm coming, are the leaves on your trees yet, or just budding? It will determine if tons of branches come crashing down.

My apple tree flowered. It is about to get a rude awakening.

I know. That's the saddest part of a spring snowstorm. The crabapples in our neighborhood are absolutely glorious.

All the flowering trees are in full bloom, and some do have green leaves. I have two trees that are green now. Tree trimmers are gassing up and licking their lips right now.

I was going to rip half of my grass out in my backyard this weekend. Not anymore. The wife will have to wait for her garden area for just a bit longer.

I just threw old blankets over the peony supports. Upside-down trash cans and buckets over the tall allium that are getting ready to bloom soon. Everything else is on its own!
