No it isn't on the level of 2003 but it is the same time of year and it came after a nice day of weather.

We had about 14" at my place in Unincorporated Jefferson County (Golden).

Drove to the light rail station this morning and had to navigate around compact cars that were stuck in the snow -- but I made it without any issues, luckily. The W Line was fine, though a little slow.

The W Line was a mess this afternoon, however, and was shut down for a bit due to freezing switches and a disabled train at the Oak Station. I made it home, but the train lost power a few times on the way from downtown to the Jeffco/Golden Station!

I have the option to work from home when the weather is bad, but I had a few meetings today that I couldn't miss -- that of course ended were canceled.

Well, I made it back to Castle Rock from the tech center. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get home. I left work just before 3 and I got home around 4:30ish. The problem about the entire drive was that it felt post apocalyptic because the highway was littered with semi trailers all over the place. All the cars were having to weave in and out of them. They were in every lane just stopped. Some were trying to put chains on and others were just sitting there in the middle of the road. There were also a lot of accidents on the on/off ramps. I suspect it was just people driving too fast for conditions and couldn't navigate the turn.

We ended up with just over a foot in Castle Rock. Because of the wind, I had a snow drift in my driveway of close to 3 feet. Needless to say, my back is killing me. I had to shovel all of that before I could even get my car into the garage.
