One of my friends in another state was complaining because they had packed all the winter clothes away and then it snowed. I started laughing and thought here we often wear shorts in December and snow boots in May. Who bothers to pack away so-called "out of season" clothing? lol!

I don't pack anything away. But I'm wondering when our last snow will be, or if it's already passed?? Today is the earliest date of a "last freeze" in Denver. I think we may have an early Spring. It seemed like the typical March warmup actually started in late February before turning back to Denver. So maybe we're on track for an early Spring. I've seen two forecasts saying we're in for a hot, dry summer.

Since I have lived here I think it has snowed in May once that I could remember. Last year it rained the entire month of May. I didn't have to turn on the sprinklers until June.

Wait... it snowed around 6" last Mother's Day, and around 4" the Mother's Day before that. Now that's the latest I've seen any snow in Denver (the city) in my 11 years here, and they were both quite substantial. Usually May snows are the "rain turned to snow overnight and melts by 10 a.m." variety, but it seems like it snows more Mays than not, in the first week of May. And May snow is quite annoying and just plain wrong

My memory is terrible. Now I remember the snow on Mother's Day last year.
Our apple trees didn't produce at all last year.

I don't think any fruit trees produced last year. Between the horrible Nov. 11 2014 deep freeze (caused tons of tree damage) and the May 11 2015 snow, they didn't stand a chance. Don't put away the shovels yet. The "models" are trying to figure out this weekend, but it could be an historic snow dump. They'll probably know by Friday if we're all going to die on Saturday.
