I had mine done yesterday but now I'm worried I did it too early. This is the first year I've had to deal with it myself, before now, I've always lived where the HOA was responsible for all the landscaping.

My sprinkler system is being blown out today. This is about 7-10 days later than normal but it's been a mild Fall.

I usually turn it on in about mid-April once it seems the hard freezes are over with.

I'm on the north end of COLO SPGS at 6800 feet elevation.

well, phew! I guess I got the timing right after all!

Do you continue to do any hand watering at this point, or call it good until next spring?

As long as it is getting cold at night, the grass should go dormant for the winter. If you have any young trees, it is a good idea to hand water them every few weeks.

Did it last weekend. Takes about 45 minutes because I have to let the tiny pancake compressor I borrow from the neighbor recharge between zones.

We've been doing some hand watering of the hanging plants, but nothing else. We usually just let them freeze with the first frost, which may be this week.
