This looks like a post that needs to be in the Denver subforum.

The City of Aurora is big - 154 square miles - straddling two counties (Adams and Arapahoe) and even with a little SW corner in a third (Douglas). "Around Aurora" is a really big area!

I suggest that you start by searching for rentals within your price range at padmapper.com. If you then have specific questions about a few locations/complexes, post them here and see if anyone has answers or suggestions.

Also, here's a discussion from four or five years ago that names some apartment complexes: Nice, newer apartments and areas of Aurora?

Wow. $780 a month, and that's probably as low as it can be found. In 1970, I used to pay $50 a month for a 2 bdrm home om 3/4 of an acre in Gulfport, Ms (which was actually pretty nice, w/ a beach just 15 minutes away). After two years, the landlord apologized and said they would have to increase the rent to $75. The scary thing is, back in 1970 I was making more money than I get on my social security retirement now, and that was in 1970 dollars.
