My girlfriend and I are moving to the Denver area int he next few days, but we haven't found a rental yet, so we need an apartment.

Any recommendations for a short-term lease that is not ridiculously expensive? Every place I've called is like $2000/month for a month-to-month lease on a 1-bedroom apartment! We can do month-to-month, or a 3 month lease. We would like to be somewhere on the north or west side of town ideally (South only if next to a light rail).

Cheers and Thanks!
Adam & Taylor

I'd look into extended stay hotels or try subleases on Craigslist.

Email listings on craigslist, tell them you want a three month lease, can pay the three months and security at signing, are looking to move asap, have no pets, are non smokers, etc, and Are willing to pay a $250/mon premium for a three month lease. Given it is feb many landlords would jump on that as they could easily rerent in May.
