Default Ski Lessons for Valentine's Day

I am looking to get my hubby ski lesson for Valentine's Day, but am not sure where I should get them from. We just moved to Denver and don't want to drive too far in the mountains to a ski resort, would prefer somewhere that is under an hour's drive.

Ski Cooper is very inexpensive. We liked their ski school. On the negative side, if there is anyone in your party who truly is an advanced intermediate or expert, they wouldn't find Ski Cooper really challenging. Free parking, not crowded.

The closest resort is Eldora, west of Boulder. Eldora Mountain Resort It is nice and you don't have to drive on I70 in the traffic to get there.

If you're in Denver, the closest ski facility ... although not a "resort" ...with a superb ski school for newbie/beginning skiiers ... is Loveland. Just under an hour away from Denver, and you're on the East side of the Eisenhower tunnel.

Easy access, free parking, ski lesson/equipment package program .... it's what you're looking for if your focus is strictly learning to ski. You could find nice dining back down the hill in Idaho Springs on your way home ....

If you want to combine lessons/getaway weekend at a "resort", then you need to look at Copper Mountain, or Keystone, or Winter Park ... as your closest choices. Of course, these are a longer distance away, but you can get lodging and fine dining here.

Loveland is a great place to learn. Also you could stay at one of the B&B lodgings at Empire or Georgetown. They are inexpensive and close to Loveland.

in no traffic it should take about an hour to Loveland.

It depends on when you go though. Weekend traffic is treacherous-it can take up to 3 hours to get back home to denver from the tunnel!
