Impossible for us to answer as this is a company specific perk, unless someone else here works or worked for the same company. Why not just ask your HR person?

Yeah, I'll just have to to that. I was reading on Wikipedia that as of Jan. 2016 they can't give cash reimbursements for transit... I'll see though.

I like the highlands, but to me it has always seemed very 'cut-off' from downtown due to I25, the Platte River and the rail line that must be crossed in order to get there.

So I finally decided on a place after a while of looking. It was tough. With my work situation, I could not get the light rail pass money in cash nor could I keep my car parked at work after work hours, so that biased me moving further out. I could find places downtown with parking for approx 1400 a month, but that was a bit expensive and I couldn't deduct travel costs out of the rent.

Capitol hill and nearby was plagued by places not coming with parking. Highlands and eastern Denver near university hospital were still quite a trek with traffic. The areas were really nice, but the apartment itself wasn't as nice as further out, though there still were ones for 1000 to 1100 a month.

Lakewood and Littleton didn't have much. So I decided on a place near I-25 and Yale, close enough with the rail, in a good neighborhood next to Bible Park, and big and clean enough to feel comfortable spending a snowy Sunday all day in doors.

I'll be working downtown, so I think I'll spend more time in that area after work and such than I will by my apartment, but I'll see.

Thanks again guys!

I'd vote for Capital Hill as well. That's the first neighborhood I lived when I first moved to Denver in 2008. The apartment stock is older, but it's a little more affordable than all the luxury College 2.0 complexes they are building around town. There are also a lot more affordable options there than most other downtown-ish neighborhoods.

I did notice that, more uniqueness and there was a decent amount for under $1250. It was just the parking and the location of my work for walking that made it more impractical.

With the Light Rail you won't have any issues. It goes right into Union Station which is perfect. Get a beer at Terminal Bar before you head home on Fridays!
