The school system in Parker has great reviews, but I always suggest that people do their research as everyone has different standards!

As for atmosphere, there are definitely options as to what you would like your lifestyle to be. If you are working downtown, you have many suburbs that you could live in to make your commute less than 45 minutes. Parker tends to have newer homes (built in 2000 or newer) so it may not bring you the neighbors who have lived in the area for 20+ years and most of the neighborhoods have an HOA. You may want to look in Littleton or Centennial for what you are looking for.

Entertainment - I personally have not done much off roading, however one of the best things about Colorado is it has something adventurous for everyone! Parker is about 45 minutes from the foothills (depending on traffic)

Pot- I believe that if you are looking for it, you can find it. When you think about when you are looking for a liquor store, you start noticing them on every corner. However, if you are just doing your day to day activities, you wouldn't even see the liquor store. I think this is the same idea with the dispenseries and pot. Unless you are spending a lot of time on 16th st, it doesn't need to be a big part of your life if you don't want it to be.

General utilities - Because Colorado weather can vary so much, it's not uncommon for some houses not even to have AC! It can be hot during the day, but cools down 20 degrees at night, making open windows a great way to cool off the house.

Parks - There are plenty of wonderful places for your kids! Plus, you have all of the trails in the mountains for your kids to explore! Even when it's hot in Colorado (90s but dry heat), you can head an hour into the mountains to cool off!

Snow/Road cleaning - I used to live in Minnesota, so I think my plowing standards are high, but Colorado DOT does a pretty good job. The thing about Colorado is that even when it snows a foot, it will probably get into the 40s or 50s a couple of days later, causing all of the snow to melt on the road. So, that means that sometimes the roads aren't great at being plowed. One of our cars is a Honda Civic, and with snow tires we have no problem getting around anywhere.

Hopefully this was helpful!!
