I was born in Denver, only if I was dumb enough tp leave the beach areas of So Cal, it would not be Denver. It would be to go back to where I went to High School in Grand Junction.

Why? It not only has the BEST all around weather in the state, it has the typical "Colorado" mountains to east and the spires, canyons and mesas of westren moves to the west.

Okay, now that everyone is done ripping my hastily worded description of living at a higher altitude apart and making themselves feel scholarly, my point was that the sun feels more intense. Should have said "higher up" rather than "closer to the sun." Obviously I'm not a professional meteorologist. After thinking about it for more than 2 seconds I realize thinner air/altitude would have been a better way to describe it. Whatever, the sun is more intense, especially with snow on the ground. Don't believe me, go spring skiiing with no sunscreen and googles on and we will all point and laugh at your raccoon looking face.

9 more reasons?:

1. You may be far from your family. If you think that won't matter, think again.

2. If you are a non-native, you may get a lot of crap. And it won't all be in jest.

I can't think of any others that haven't been stated.
On point 2:

So how much crap will you get for being a non-native in Denver? I never heard that before.

Just when I was going to get off the computer and do something useful! OK, read through a few threads, and see how some people around here feel about Californians, Texans, New Yorkers, and outsiders in general. Do a search with those words. This is not a universal attitude, but it's out there.

Most of us are from those places, why would we have anything good to say about them. Thats why we left. Now that I live in Arizona, I will be crabby with all the Coloradians moving to Here. Its all how the world turns.

I know lots of people complain about people from other places. I guess many people need someone to blame for the problems around them. However, complaining aside I really can't picture most Coloradians refusing to do business or be friends with someone just because they are not from Colorado. I get the feeling that Coloradians are open minded and friendly. Most seem very private and don't pry into other's lives and expect other's not to pry into thiers. Not super openly friendly as in saying hi to everyone they meet on the street but not rude either. I really get the feeling that complaints about people for other places are generalizations like; all New Yorkers are rude or Californians are superficial, ect. However, when it comes to dealing with people one on one I doubt where people are from even comes into play!
