16th street mall sucks. Its a tourist trap full of idiots and bums. There are some decent spots around Denver but the city itself....not sure what the big deal is.
It's all about the Colotechture, skyscrapers and granite paver stones!

It's the weed and that latest viral "street brawl" video above ^^^ just confirms it.

Have a look at the "participants" in the video (besides the well-dressed working/passer-byer man caught in the middle)..... shaggy haired, disheveled, incoherent, hippie looking losers..... it's almost *every* single stereotype of pot-heads in a single video

It's like that other guy said above, dogs get put down for MUCH less than these hoodlums If I was a cop and saw such shenanigans going on in front of me those druggie punks would be in jail or at the very least pepper-sprayed..... leave that innocent man alone!!

Throw these druggie transients in the trash I say, useless moochers the whole lot of em!

"Build a wall" around Colorado, keep these homeless trouble-making hoodlums out for god sake.....

If someone had a concealed weapon, they could have very easily stopped him from seriously injuring someone or killing someone.

I seriously don't know the answer to this.... Did he actually seriously injure or kill someone?

The reason I ask is you are promoting the idea that having a civilian open fire in a crowded area is better than waiting the 3 minutes it took DPD to get there and apprehended the suspect. Tell me how that's better.

"Good guy with a gun" making us all safer is myth.

""Waiting for the police; that is your answer." Someone like myself who completed hunter safety by age 11, spent years in the infantry ,sniper school, mechanized weapons ."We don't need no stinking badges."

I think the majority of these are runaways from the surrounding Plains states. Denver is a good loitering spot because of the access to amenities and decent weather. That's just my theory.

This is true. Ask the people of Los Angeles proper. Not Orange County.

In fact, any city where you want, of any size. Don't ask the rich people. They are always pumping sunshine so as not to appear negative in any way. Wouldn't want a negative persona ruining business opportunities.

Discharging a firearm in a crowded public place like 16th street mall at a guy with a plastic pipe would be both stupid and criminal. Martial arts, stun gun, and police subdue procedures, all appropriate for someone swinging plastic pipe.

I'm glad both our police force and our citizens are too smart to start shooting on 16th street mall.

However some of the young bucks itching for a fight should get together with the 16th st. mall business coalition and form a security task force. They could wear t-shirts and patrol around, ready to take on these bums at a moments notice. I bet you would get lots of volunteers.

This solution wouldn't cost the tax payers anything.
