For commenting purposes I think it makes sense for you and your wife to look in Aurora or green valley Ranch. The rents will be much cheaper there than in downtown. However, that puts you in the Eastside of town away from the Rockies and what not. It's probably an extra 30 minutes in the weekends, but better than an extra 45 minutes every day

I agree, especially considering the salary. Aurora or GVR are probably your best bet with the current prices.
