I want/need title 1 schools to fulfill the obligation I have on my TEACHgrant. So I won't be applying to Cherry Creek, etc

I don't know if Cherry Creek has any title 1 schools, but they may. It's a big district and takes in some of Aurora. I know Boulder Valley SD, generally considered "wealthy" (by those on the outside looking in) has some title 1 schools. Most districts do.

They don't. APS might though, I'll have to look into that. I'm pretty sure that Adams county has some as well. I want to live in Denver proper (preferably within 5 miles of downtown) which is why I'd prefer DPS, it'd make my life easier.

Only 14 of them. You may have to make some compromises to get a teaching job out here.

Thanks for correcting me; I knew there were no title 1 high schools and didn't have updated information. Still not where I want to be but nice to know it's an option if I need it.

Denver area teachers
In considering Colorado as a possible relocation spot, I'd like to hear from teachers (since I am a teacher) in the area regarding the job market, the schools, what specialty areas make you most marketable, etc. Does anyone know hold difficult the process of certification is (coming from NY)? I've also considered starting my own preschool or some type of business catering to children and the arts. Any thoughts?
